In Touch
Long-running LA-based gay mag that evolved a great deal during its existence, from a standard skin rag to an entertainment/gossip publication.
Debut issue #1 is heavy on the hippie sensibility. It was 1973, after all. Real men wear caftans. Excellent condition, only thing worth mention is lower right front cover corner crease.
Issue #98 from December, 1984 is a music heavy-hitter under editor Jim Yousling, with the usual mix of porn and LA gossip. There is a feature on what celebrities want for Christmas, including a request from regular contributor Henry Rollins. Also, a large feature on the Red Hot Chili Peppers, who got their start playing shows almost naked and built up a sizeable gay following.
Issue #101 is more music coverage under editor Jim Yousling, including a wacky photo "spread" of the Adicts, a feature on John Waters, and the usual porn, gossip, and trash.
