Approximately 50 handmade greeting cards from three different inmates in California prisons, including:
* Five handmade holiday cards from inmate “Michael Scott” to family, undated, circa 90s/00s. English language, with inscriptions describing longing and hope for the future. No mailing envelopes, exact date/location of origin unknown.
* Sixteen handmade holiday cards from inmate “Harry” to his partner “Loida,” undated, circa 90s/00s. Spanish language, with lengthy letters professing love and devotion. Exquisitely rendered using pens and glue. No mailing envelopes, exact date/location of origin unknown.
* Thirty-two pieces of ephemera - mostly handmade holiday cards - from inmate “Eddie Ortiz Jr.” to family in San Jose, CA. With mailing envelopes, dated circa 1993-97, and originating from prisons in the Bay Area and Littleton, Colorado. English language. Cards exquisitely rendered using pens and glue.
