It's 1992 and the neighborhood had seen many inhabitants come and go. This group was the latest, and was self-conscious about the territory they tread.

"People that choose to live in the Mission District will invariably tell you therein lies the heart of San Francisco. A city once known as a haven for America's misfits and intellectuals has now become just another gentrified enclave for the country's ignorant and selfish marketplace lackeys. Here we hold on to the past and fight for a future in what most other white San Franciscans call the ghetto. If so... it is the most exciting and colorful ghetto of America."
