The Probe

Early 90s Northen California punk/sex zine devoted to mixing music and naked women. Editor Aaron Muentz "is not the Larry Flynt of punk zines... nor is he the Hugh Hefner, (n)or the Bob Guccione" as an old article suggests. Nor does he like porn, or so he states, although I'm not so sure about that. At its core, this is a magazine about him and his friends, the types of bands he likes (raunchy, sloppy, DIY punk, largely Bay Area) and a more hedonistic lifestyle that appears bent on subverting a possibly puritan subculture.
